This project involved designing a new brand identity for Oaklands Studios, a brand new photography studio owned by veterans of the modelling world. Additionally, Oaklands Studios brought in for a year of the Content Creation Package, building up their social media presence and designing set elements for their studios.

Year: 2024

Client: Neil & Jasmine, Oaklands Studios

About the Project

  • Neil and Jasmine have just acquired a gorgeous Victorian Manor house, and they intend to transform it into a photography studios. They need to come out the gate with a bang, with a branding that sets them apart from the competition and appeals to Models, Photographers and indie Film Projects.

Additionally, they need ongoing support with content creation and marketing

  • To design a visual identity for the studio that brings in aspects of the studio’s Manor House outer core, combining it with the art of photography. Despite their core audience being boudoir and adult photography, they need to appeal to a wider audience outside that niche.

  • The final logo combines aspects the manor house, complete with the iconic bay windows, alongside elements of a camera lens. The color palette is a bold purple palette, to stand out against others that generally stick to pasels. The typography was chosen to be simple yet bold and modern.

  • Despite not even having their studios fully open, Oaklands Studios have been seeing a huge initial spike in inquiries and bookings, and have managed to keep their booking calendar full. Their social media has also grown expotentially since they started posting material created by me, and posts about specific sets have correlated directly with inquiries about those sets

  • This client was the pilot scheme in the Content Creation arm of the studio. This project has taught me the importance of maintained communication with clients, as they all require ongoing support with their brand.
